What is Gift Aid?

Are you a UK tax payer? If so, every £1 you give could be worth £1.25 to us, helping us fund our charitable work.

Gift Aid is a form of tax relief and, as a charity, we are able to claim back the tax on your admission to the garden as we can class your admission as a “charitable donation”.

We can claim back Gift Aid on your “donation” as long as you have agreed to pay the higher admission price that includes an additional 10% donation.

Regulations laid down by His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) require all charitable attractions to ask visitors for an additional 10% donation on their admission before Gift Aid can be claimed.

By claiming Gift Aid on your donation we will gain an additional 25p for every £1 you have given us. This money will help fund our valuable charitable work.
